At Big Bag Recycling we can deliver to your door, mixed loads of hard wood and soft wood, seasoned logs in different sized bulk bags.

Dry firewood is essential in order to have an efficient, smooth running log burner or open fire. It is therefore necessary that the firewood has been properly prepared to allow it top have the best possible burn.

It is therefore important that the firewood logs are well seasoned. Any water contained within the logs when burning, must firstly be evaporated and this takes a rather surprising amount of energy to do so. Logs that have been freshly cut will often contain around 50% water to weight ratio, whereas well seasoned logs will only contain 20%. Therefore seasoned wood will provide around double the amount of energy provided by freshly cut logs.

Please note: We deliver our products in two different sized bulk bags using our lorry and crane, however if you don’t think the lorry will be able to fit on / near your property please state this when ordering. We will be able to arrange a delivery via pick-up truck.
